I will be passing out that tin foil for the hats soon.....

so the people in washington think that the recession is coming to and end, however; housing sales are down, unemployment is still high (though last weeks figures arent as bad as the previous weeks).....people bought more in august (hello back to school---kids HAVE to HAVE certain things or they get nailed in class.).....
some how I just dont see it yet, as the congress is also working on a proposal to extend unemployment benefits even farther.

ah, guess it will work itself out some how (though I like what obama said---the us is NOT going to fix it for the world....or something to that effect, we may have started it but everyone has to work together to fix it).

oh yeah...and the dinner report---pizza again (had leftover dough---its hard to make just one)

Housing and employment are going to lag for a while yet.

The US is spinning tales again. If China sells it's stock in the US market the US will crash and burn, and when the dollar crashes the western world will follow. Only China can prevent this, and they know that.

The US/UK market will see a steady increase up until Christmas, then come February the 'dead cat bounce' will be in full effect.

Don't expect to see an end any time soon.

Eh, it doesn't really matter. The whole system is going to crash eventually, it's just a matter of when.

I'd rather it happen sooner than later. Dogmeat is getting antsy being in the house all the time.

It does matter, because this recession is just the tip of the iceberg. Things can and will get a lot worse.

Take Iran for an example, this is were the next "war on terror" will be. Not because the two nuclear plants Iran admits to having, but because of the oil

China needs oil to keep their booming industrial sector running. The US plans to control as much of the oil going into China as possible, with the intentions of using oil as a bargaining tool.

Iran doesn't have enough oil for themselves, they recently signed a deal with Venezuela to purchase oil from them.

I meant, "it doesn't matter to me." The economy has been unsustainable for a long time now. It's just taken this long for it to become apparent to everyone.

You'd be surprised by what they say they have and what they have. Take the Saudi's for example, their wells are running dry yet they claim to have a lot more then they really do.

Saudi's have an estimated 70 odd years worth left, then they're all dried up. Why do you think all the Saudi's are suddenly interested in buying overseas?

Just wait and see.

I have my own sources, but for legal reasons I can't post those, so you'll have to do with wiki.

Hm,
dont know about the oil issues, but I still dont think this recession is quite done with us yet (eg waiting for the other shoe to drop---China??? maybe, but still think there might be something else we just arent seeing yet).
Unemployment will be bad for sometime regardless of the recession or no, but some of the other stuff should get better---right now its mixed. One month the sales are up, next flat, next down...while other indicators are doing just the opposite.
I'm no economist, but I dont think its over, more like passed the middle perhaps, but not over (and by passed the middle I dont think we are on the recovery just yet, yeah somethings are getting better....others arent....)
Just this feeling that something is yet to come that is bad, before the 'recovery' truly starts.

we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Of course the Saudi's would lie about it, once the oil is gone the Monarchy will lose all their power.

It's all about China and the oil.

Nothing is over until
a) US takes as much oil as they can
b) China will make them sign the Kyoto agreement before any negations are even started

With the US and China being the 2 biggest contributors to global warming, China will only see it fit that they are both doing their bit.

Isn't politics fun

oh well, when its ready to tell me, it will (and as with most things....you'all will find out before I do).......

Warfare for China includes Kung Pow Chicken and Hookers.

Not to mention over-crowding america and cheap-ass toys.

I like rainy days. Idk why. Anyone else here want to live in the country? Suburbs are getting boring here, too much noise, too many neighbors. I just love cornfields ><
